The fabric is nice to the touch and if you wear a monks apron (monastic scapular) it really sells this as the real deal! I made my own monks apron from some felt from a fabric store, very easy to make and is very versatile. The color I chose was brown, it is a bit darker than the Franciscan monks habit, but it’s still definitely brown. It’s a very nice color and I would say it would suit most skin colors well. It is almost the perfect size and fit for me (5’9” 175lb male) with a bit of a belly. And this has plenty of room for me to both slim up or chunk up a bit. The weight of the material is very light, but not see through light, just like a normal top sheet weight. This makes it comfortable to wear in numerous environments and weather climates, although I do think you’d be soaked if it were raining. The robe looks great and has a nice medieval style that works really well for cosplay, Renaissance events, or Halloween. The hood is probably my favorite part because it gives the whole outfit a more authentic monk/priest look. The material feels decent and comfortable enough to wear for a few hours. It was also easy to put on and doesn’t require much to complete the outfit. The fit was pretty good, although I think the sizing can be a little loose depending on your body type.
