I had a boyfriend in 1972 who had just returned from Vietnam. He had one of these he used to loan me for bird watching in chilly Rochester, NY winters. It was slightly different with a soft nylon inner and shell, making it easier to slip on and off when wearing a sweater. The fur on the hood was rea and it was a lighter weight (though no less warm) in weight. This one is cotton inside and out but has wonderful pockets, nice long sleeves and it's warm as can be. I got large because that's all that's all that was available.
