I could not find a practical way of doing that. But I made a simple " jig" so I could sharpen blades in opposite direction ... I tried downloading a video but Amazon site had problems.. look on you tube , very simple, in fact I turned the sander on its back with a board bolted to it, took off angle guide and added a 3" angle bracket on to the clear cov r mounting bolt... works genius. **Q: Why will this not fit a Kalamazoo 1x42 belt sander? Has anyone had success modifying it to work?** A: Yes **Q: Can this be installed without removing the table?** A: Yes you can just slip it on the platen without moving the table! **Q: Will this work on the Ricoh sander?** A: Not sure on that specifically. I have a home made belt grinder and it works. They also sell a set where one is reversed to you can do 'toward' or 'away' from the blade. It's kind of crunchy which can make adjustment touchy. I took it apart and used a fingernail sanding file to smooth the surfaces. I even took the nuts off and smoothed the surfaces.
