Installation took me about 15 minutes, with the bulk of that time being spent removing the body panel and, importantly, dremeling away the old plastic around the metal rod this attaches to. That's a required step, it would be pretty difficult to do without power tools, so make sure you have some sort of tool that can cut the plastic sheathing off. The hood open pull lever on my car takes about double the intended force to use, so I was worried the set screws wouldn't be enough to hold it in place, but it definitely is. In other words, this is just a great product.
