Since the boat sits up all winter without running, I usually put 3 cans in the tank the last time I run it. In addition to cleaning the entire fuel system, it also stabilizes the fuel so it doesn't break down and turn into lacquer. Also, if you buy fuel with ethanol in it (most gas has 10-15% ethanol in it), Gumout helps keep it from turning into a gel like substance in your fuel line. I've used it on two different motorcycles, a diesel pickup, and a gas powered '91 Corvette and a 2014 Escape. All of them ran smoother after a tank. Modern gas is crap, meant to be used up, and most of it lacks addititives that help keep your fuel system clean. This stuff has PET, which is a solvent that eats up fuel deposits and carbon deposits and will clean your fuel injectors and your engine cylinders of deposits while the engine runs.
