DO NOT use these as a replacement for heat resistant gloves. If I'm working on something involved and need to go in the house, I'll use a Grime Boss hand wipe to clean the gloves and leave them on instead of having to waste another pair. They're actually called disposable gloves, although I've been using the same pair every day since these arrived more than 2 weeks ago - for everything from painting the front gate to scouring baked grease off the stove with steel wool - and they haven't leaked yet. The store-bought gloves would have been torn by now or punctured by my long fingernails . These gloves are long enough that you can wash dishes with them, proivided you don't lift your hands upward and let the water flow over your arm and then back down into the glove - in other words, they're not quite long enough to form a cuff to catch drips. Yet they're thin enough to feel what you're handling.
