Review: This works. Just have patience. - I was looking for a replacement for the Windsor and Newton brush cleaner I'd be using for years and took a chance on this product. And I'm glad I did. This really does restore brushes. The key with it is patience. I had brushes that I've heavily used for the past 5 years for acrylic painting and they were on their last leg. So I used the cleaner on them, alright if the outcome was they needed to be tossed. After the first 24 hours I could visually see paint being stripped from the bristles. I took them out, gently washed them, then got concerned. The paint has been dissolved, but had almost created a type of tar, rendering the brushes unusable. I could have stopped there. But I decided that since the brushes were already bound for the trash, what was the harm in putting them back in the solution. There was no harm. The solution was working as intended, cleaning the brushes of paint that had been dried in them for YEARS. It's taken several rounds in the solution for it to effectively clean all that dried paint out. Nearly the whole bottle. But it's worked. The brushes have been restored. And on newer brushes it works just as effectively, with minimal time in the solution. Overall I estimated that it took around a week of sitting in the solution to fully restore my WORST brushes. And around 12 hours for my newer ones. The bristles were not damaged during these long periods in the solution either. It also doesn't evaporate quickly, which was the reason for my switch to it initially. It's also half the price as bigger name brands and for me it was worth every scent.
Review: Awsome Art Supply Cleaner! - This Cleaner is Amazing. It's my go to cleaner for paint brushes and my airbrushes. I like it better than lacquer thinner, acetone etc..it's way less fumey and I actually like the way it smells. The bottle states it's non-hazardous, I don't know the ingredients are but it breaks down acrylics, lacquers, enamel and 2K clear faster than lacquer thinner. This is my second time buying this product.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you keep reusing it? How long does it last? Thank you**
A: It doesnt seem to be "reusable". My experience is that as it is used, it cleans and cleans, but if in an open container, like the 2 oz. Solo cups I use, it evaporates leaving the paint residue in the bottom of the cup. I have not tried this in a sealed brush pot or anything. If it were sealed, I would imagine it would clean for a very long time before the residual paint builds up to stop it from cleaning. Hope this helps.

**Q: can this be used on makeup brushes?**
A: Hi, yes you can use it on makeup brushes, however I think it is a little too strong for makeup and was meant for use with latex, acrylic, and oil paints. It actually melted the plastic cup I use to clean the brushes with. I am a makeup artist and a recipe that I got from a pro friend of mine was to mix 1/2 part acetone (pure), not nail polish remover, with 1/2 part of (99% alcohol). We call this in the biz "Aceahol". With makeup brushes you want them to dry fast and stay dry, so they don't breed bacteria. They both dry quick and the alcohol sanitizes while the acetone breaks down all types of makeup including oil base stage makeup! I mix up a batch then put it in a spray bottle and simply spray and wipe the brushes. If they are really gunked up you can dip them. Dry them well, and you are all set. I hope this helps! Cheers!

**Q: Does this work on dried nail acrylic on brush?**
A: Yes but it takes a day or two so I recommend having another brush to work with for those days

**Q: Does this work for dried latex paint?**
A: Once I used 'Motsenbocker's Lift Off 41301 22-Ounce Latex Paint Remover Spray,' I won't ever do without it. Nothing has worked on spilled and dried paint on counters, floors, tables, sinks, etc. like this does-and I paint 3-4 times a week, plus i work with color pigments that, once spilled, are virtually impossible to clean away the stain, except with this product. Many times I'm too tired when I finish using my artist brushes, to clean them; and the next day (or next week), they are stiff and hard which has made me have a small jar set aside, with enough in it to cover the brush part when I put the stiff brush in it, and leave it there for between a half hour to a few hours (depending on the brush size, etc..) and they turn out exactly like new.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little goes a long way
*by D***Z on January 28, 2024*

I got this to replace a small container of watercolor brush soap I misplaced. I like the convenience of a liquid over the soap I had. A tiny bit of this cleaner goes a long way. It will leave a slight residue on glass, so rinse thoroughly. I had some watercolors that were kinda difficult to get out of a cheap plastic palette. This stuff cleaned it right out. It does have a slight odor but it’s fine so long as you wash your hands and rinse your stuff, after using. My brushes were clean and I did not notice any negative difference in their performance after using this product. There is value for the money because it doesn’t take much to thoroughly clean my watercolor brushes.
