It's not my first feather pillow. But these ones came in all compressed in a small box. I placed them in the dryer at air tumble to fluff them up. At first, they looked all fluffy, but after I started using them, they felt very hard again. It's seems that the compression process had flatten the feathers and now it just feels flat and dense. They are not horrible and may be suitable for some people, especially side sleepers. I just don't like that they are not fluffy.On the positive side, which earned it an extra star. The extra cover does a good job.
