Read before you purchase!!!
Read before you purchase!!!This Panlelo headunit has to have been the worst purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon.First off, this entire unit alone violates Amazon’s review policies. All the 5 star reviews on here are purchased by Panlelo. On the front cover of the only manual in the box, Panlelo asks the customer to leave them a 5 star review, then send an email to their Hotmail address (what is this, 1998?), before Panlelo would SEND A “FREE GIFT WORTH $50”. That is a bribe; straight up purchase of 5 star reviews and BLATANTLY against Amazon policies…see photo for proof. I never should have been allowed to purchase this item, since it’s in Amazon’s best interests to not sell garbage. After this purchase, I only feel like I’ve gotten scammed by Amazon. For starters, the DIN standard has been unchanged for what looks like 33 years. Yet, this unit was TOO tall and NOT WIDE ENOUGH to fit in my car, which is a double DIN standard. Not being wide enough just means a sloppy product, but my car’s dash either has to be 1) stretched or 2) this headunit grinded down to “fit” a little better. The double DIN hole is now being stretched up and down with gaps on the left and right, even after grinding (and now I can’t return the unit). How lazy is Panlelo to manufacture to the correct length and a width that haven’t been a close guarded secret? Are you serious Panlelo? You make Chinese people look bad. You could have copied ANY competitors headunits and gotten closer than what this product shows. Shame on you. Not only are the length and width wrong, but there was absolutely no testing done to any DIN mounting hardware. The bezel gets in the way, and once mounted, two of the four screws would screw into the car crooked. I don’t know how John Nguyen on YouTube could Then again looking back, I never should have trusted someone who gave 10/10 to everything and couldn’t even spell “PIONNER”. I thought Oregon Trail was something that all children played in elementary school.Audio – 0/10This headunit has awful shielding, so there is alternator whine, which you will almost never find on any name branded unit. When I drive, there is a high pitched whine that varies linearly with engine RPM. Was this unit even tested in the car or on a bench? This kind of crap makes it feel like “Panlelo” was started by a company that manufactures no-name Android tablets, as opposed to a company that manufactures headunits which is moving into the Android headunit space. To top that off, all Bluetooth audio coming through your smartphone sounds like it’s being played over AM radio. What hardware is in here, Bluetooth 0.9b? The BTMusic app is surprisingly decent within the context of the rest of this unit, but unfortunately the audio is going to sound like garbage either way.On another note, one of the first things I did was go to the Bluetooth menu to add my phone, since that was primarily how my music would have been sourced. There was already a Bluetooth profile in there. Either Panlelo is 1) selling returns or 2) using a sloppy firmware that has remnants of QA testing. That really is unlikely to be the case, since there definitely was not any QA on the software OR hardware of this unit.Navigation & Performance – 2/10What onboard navigation app? There is no navigation software on here if you ever decide to reset to default settings. But wait! Google Maps has offline mode! Well, this headunit is so slow that every time you enter an address, you should budget another 5 seconds for it to scan for whether or not it’s connected to the internet. Google Maps and also Waze (another reason I got this) seem to take 10 seconds or so to load. This is completely unacceptable. That said, the GPS dongle does seem to work and receive a signal reliably.Screen – 0/10The brightness on the screen is so low that I cannot see if the sun is out. Period. My car is a two seater so more light is let in than most cars, but previous double DIN units have been perfectly fine. There was absolutely ZERO testing done on whether or not this works in a car. The higher resolution is actually a bad thing for this unit; let me explain why. If you are using apps with a higher resolution screen, the buttons will be smaller to accommodate for that resolution. The last thing you need is tiny buttons for precision presses while driving. Why are the power and volume buttons smaller than the tip of my index finger? I can palm a basketball but the lack of tactile response leaves me confused on anything that happened, since I can’t see the screen either. For what it’s worth, I gave Panlelo all the requirements they need right here to make a quality product. As a design engineer who has worked in the automotive and aerospace industries, they have met NONE of the requirements for making this anywhere close to a quality product. I highly doubt anyone in the factory who has seen this unit even owns a car.Believe it or not, I had an entire review typed in Amazon’s reviews section already, but it did not save when the browser was closed, like it did for a shorter review. I typed all of this up again so none of you would make the same mistake I did.John Nguyen’s YouTube review states:“Impressions: 10/10Install: 9/10Display:10/10 - Great viewing angles, vibrant, bright, high resolutionPerformance: 9/10 - Quad core keeps the unit feeling snappyValue: 10/10 - Nothing can top thisAudio Quality: 9/10 - Really wakes up your sound system if you are stockCustomer Service: 10/10 -Panlelo has great customer support. Very fast responses, and you can tell they care about their customers.Overall 10/10 “If you read the remainder of the reviews here, you’ll know all of the above is horsesh**. Outside of initial impression being a 10/10, everything would have scored anywhere from a 0 to a high of 2 out of 10.

Easy install and worth every penny!
Wanted to upgrade the sound system in my 2005 Ford Escape 3.0 and went through countless double dins and came across this one. I am a big fan of Android and this just had features that I found useful and even more. Package came well protected and radio itself was surrounded by a foam protector. All cables and screws were neatly packed in bags, and manual is very legible and comes in a few languages with very easy to understand instructions and tips. In my case installation was a little extra work, had to dremel around my dash as my opening isn't made for double dins, took about 10mins to get an exact fit. I purchased the metra harness and dash kit, but dash kit was really not necessary for my Escape as the radio fit flush with the trim bezel. I fed the rear usb cables into my glove box and positioned my gps antenna on the dash where the was already an opening for removing dashboard. The sticky pad holds it down firmly, and won't budge at all. Wiring up the harness was very quick and easy, and plugged perfectly into factory harness. Once installed in dash set up was quick through Android OS, downloaded my favorite navigation app, Waze, updated all preloaded apps and customized layout and screen settings. Tested radio first and sound was perfect crystal HD clear! I connected to my homes network for wifi and used spotify, pandora, amazom music etc without problems, the sound was extremely better than the stock unit, more power, higher trebles and bass is very deep and actually shakes my car. Connected to my Samsung S8+ hotspot and all apps run great, and no lag. Bluetooth connects automatically, and continues playing from last music app used on phone. The android system itself runs smoothly and no lag or crashes at all. Calls are easy to make with dialer app and it sounds clear on both ends. All in all this radio met my expectations and then some, features are amazing and more to explore. Installation is a breeze if you have previous experience if not I recommend searching install videos, it's not too difficult. The free gift did not affect my thoughts of this unit, as it is my honest opinion. This unit does more than your average Pioneer or JVC and even beats high end factory navi systems in my opinion and for a fraction of the cost of more popular name brand units. No problems with it at all and love how customizable it is.

Great Head Unit
Don't listen to the negative reviews. I didn't and this thing kicks ass! It took a little finagling to get it in my brother's Matrix, but it was worth it in the end. It mirrors via USB like a charm and the bluetooth is great. I still haven't explored all the options of this unit, but I will soon enough. I'll post pics and maybe a video when I have the time. Get this unit, for the price it CANNOT be beat.

Don't waste your money
The radio itself sounds good and has lots of great features, however, there are many downfalls. First, when using Bluetooth and the microphone for hands-free, the recipient of the phone call can barely hear the caller. It sounds as if the caller is in a tunnel and is at the other end of it. Also, the radio just starts beeping for no reason and will not shut off. Lastly, the buttons are so small and difficult to push when you have larger hands. Great value if you want problems, unfortunately will have to now look into a replacement radio...waste of time and money.

Definitely makes your speakers sound much better than your stock head unit
Everything I needed in a head unit. I installed this in my 2006 Scion XB. Simple to install with some patience. Took me a few times to figure everything out with the back up camera, and the steering wheel options. Very powerful since it's basically a android tablet as a stereo. Many options, settings, apps, etc. Definitely makes your speakers sound much better than your stock head unit. My only dislike is the fact that the voice on the head unit is a women with a very strong asian accent. No offense, it's just kind of weird.
