I will try airing it out for a couple of days and see if it goes away. If not, I am going to return it.I can't help but worry about what was 'used' on this item to create that awful chemical odor..... especially as this is obviously going to be used by a child. I have no idea where this was manufactured. I would be curious to know.UPDATE:The very day I left the above feedback, this Seller contacted me and a replacement was immediately sent to me. He explained that this should not be the case ... that if any odor is detected, it should only be of cotton .... that mine was defective .... and insisted on sending another immediately. ALL is good!
