A: Good question. I only received an empty box, so it might be too smooth to use on a plane. I mean it was so smooth that it slid right out of the box before it made it to me. Hope that helps.

I bought these for our band competitions. They fit 4-5 people on them and do not penetrate water through the ground like a blanket would. It rolls up into the carry bag easy, and clips to a backpack. I bought two for competition season so the kids have somewhere to sit down without getting their uniforms dirty. They are super light weight and take up very little room in my mom backpack.
