If you are looking for a really deep clean, I soak mine in a ultrasonic cleaner with some jewelry cleaner. Also, washing with dishsoap and some warm/hot water will clean awesome. The advantage of the pen is it is very soft, won't damage any coating on your scope, and the shape lends itself well for reaching past your sunshade on the scope, and pay the rubber on the eyepiece. **Q: Is it good for cleaning Oculus?** A: Will work for anything with sensitive glass you don’t want to scratch. So yes it will be fine for an oculus lens **Q: Maybe I don't understand this product, but if you touch it your finger gets a black "ink" is this suppose to happen?** A: yes. it's a powdered substance (graphite maybe?) for cleaning the lens. i think it is supposed to absorb oils from the lens surface. **Q: Can this be used to clean tablet screens** A: Yes. It can be used to clean any glass - but, do you want to spend half a day cleaning your 80” OLED? So, there ya go. Just grab some popcorn, and your wallet, and come on down. Yet, I buy a Vortex lens cleaning pen instead of the lesser priced competition, expecting...More! Not a reversible end that doesn't stay in the very cheap plastic - but rather falls out when you are using the brush instead. Or - I don't know, maybe just MAYBE a few more applications with the mini (triangle) cleaner tip before its' destroyed- worn down too much to dare put on the glass of anything - except for maybe my whiskey sipping glass...
