Review: Works well - I've been having an issue for quite some time now that's been getting worse. The door would sometimes start to close, then reverse as if the safety sensor was tripped though it wasn't. Would happen at certain times of the day as well, when the sun was hitting the garage. I could never see the little green light go out or anything, so really thought it was something else but these are too inexpensive not to try. Been installed and working for about 2 weeks now and the door hasn't stopped/reversed a single time since. Installation was easy with these. Used the existing brackets and I didn't have to do anything extraordinary to get them aligned. Wire was a little tough to separate in order to strip. I had to use a knife to cut down the center to get them apart. Minor inconvenience though. The included connectors worked fine, and there was an extra just in case. I like how bright the LEDs are on these, there's no issue telling if the senor is being tripped or not. Very bright and large. However, it could be bad wiring ... maybe a bad connection. I see lots of time people use electrical tape and the adhesive actually breaks the connection over time. Try resplicing the connections if they are spliced first. If there is no splice, then it's possible the eyes are bad. To test them... use a newer 9volt battery. Detach both of the sensors and connect the matching wires together. Connect the wire with the black line to the positive side and the white to the negative. Line them so they are facing each other. If both lights come on then it's not the eyes. Could be a bad wire that is pinched or a bad circuit board on the motor unit. Good luck. **Q: do these sensors come with wires attached to them ?** A: 3 foot pigtails. You'll need to have wire from your opener to these and then splice them. **Q: will they work for a craftsman opener ?** A: Yes, I used my with a Craftsman and it worked perfect. **Q: Could I use this sensor to light up a light when the sensor is activated?** A: No. it has a circuit board in the door opening.
