**Q: My son needs a 2.5 reed size for a tenor sax. Will these work even though they say they’re for alto?**
A: NO! The saxophone reeds for each voice of saxophone are different sizes, as are the mouthpieces.

**Q: Are these wood or plastic?**
A: These are cane reeds, technically, but to give the answer you want, the reeds are wood. That being said, these reeds are the best quality for the price! You can spend more money on name brand reeds but at then of the day, the most important part of of the saxophone is the player!

**Q: Are these made in china or japan?**
A: China is what I assumed, but honestly I never really considered it!

**Q: Are these only available in 2.5 strength?**
A: No, I believe that all manufactured reeds are sold in various strengths. Most brands express hardness or strength numerically, usually starting at 2 and getting harder in increments of .5 There are a few that use soft, medium, hard ad very hard though.

After opening the package it was obvious, one of the reeds was cut off center and unplayable. Grabbed another and loaded it into my Theo wanne durga gold mpc and played it on my Selmer sa80 alto sax. Wasn't that bad. I've only tried 2 so far, but one worked. Realistically... $8.00, I got no complaints. Can't say what other packages of reeds may have in store me. If at all their a decent practice reed.
