I'm an old codger, trying to join the 21st century. I'm forever forgetting and dropping stuff. So I just hang this case around my neck. The touchscreen and all the buttons on the phone are accessible—and usable—without opening the case. And I can view/hear videos and phone conversations without removing the phone from the case. The black, padded back of the case affords protection as does the resealable plastic-&-rubber top. I'm not planning on taking a shower with this case around my neck, but, if I did, I believe the phone would survive just fine. I have a Galaxy Note 5 in an Otterbox and it does fit in this case. The camera barely clears the black backing though. I would prefer a clear back as well. I had to really push up on the phone to make it not catch a black shadow or cover up part of my pictures.My daughter has an Iphone 6 and she uses it for the pool.
