I don't know what other people are upset about...it's like $10, and the perfect starter book to get into baking doughnuts. They give yeast, baked, and I think cake recipes. Some people are saying there isn't variation, and that might be true for glazes and such, but make it your own! Experiment, try different stuff out. The recipes they give are totally sufficient and taste awesome, but it can easily be interpreted as just a "bare bones" start. The book is relatively small, so if you're buying it as just a coffee table book, might not be the best choice. I made vanilla, chocolate, and maple bacon my first time around, and they were absolutely killer. Can't wait to try some others!

This book is rad! I don't know what other people are upset about...it's like $10, and the perfect starter book to get into baking doughnuts. They give yeast, baked, and I think cake recipes. Some people are saying there isn't variation, and that might be true for glazes and such, but make it your own! Experiment, try different stuff out. The recipes they give are totally sufficient and taste awesome, but it can easily be interpreted as just a "bare bones" start. The book is relatively small, so if you're buying it as just a coffee table book, might not be the best choice. This is an OK book. I will probably keep it; it wasn't very expensive, but it is very repetitive. One doughnut recipe with super minor variations (could have been a footnote) becomes four recipes. Almost no pictures. Too many recipes start with a can on refrigerated crescent rolls or dinner rolls or even pizza dough. But id did say "easy", so what did I expect? Each recipe has a little preface, which I like. It is a good size book at 160 pages and has a nice feel. Recipes are printed in an easy to read font.
