Review: WOW! IT SURVIVED!!! - I purchased this small, thin recorder simply to practice my speaking skills. I've been using it sort of like an audio journal. I take it with me in the mornings, on my way to work and record my thoughts. I do the same on my way home and when I get to about five recordings, I delete them. I record my dreams and insights, then use them as reference when I'm writing. Well, the other day ---and this is what inspired me to write a review --- I had arrived home and placed the recorder in my pant pocket, as I normally do. I took off my pants and took a shower, again, as usual. I came out and realized that I had to wash clothes. When I transferred my clothes from the washing machine into Thedrier, I kept hearing a thump! My recorder! It's done! I thought! Oh well, at least it was inexpensive. Lo and behold, IT SURVIVED! I instantly remember how one reviewer had described it as a TANK! Because it is so well made! It feels heavy, solid. I've dropped it several times, but it has always kept working! I could NOT believe it! I had to have gotten completely soaked while in the washing machine! The water had to have entered through the speaker and mic holes! However, it turned right on and the five recordings that I hadn't yet deleted were still there! Perfectly audible! No distortion! And I could still record! All its functions PERFECTLY intact! It PROVED to be a TANK! I HIGHLY recommend this little tank!

Now that I've used it over the course of the semester I must say I have no idea where the other reviews about bad battery life/ sound quality are coming from. I have to record an hour-and-a-half lecture every other day. Using the default settings (mid-sound quality and noise cancellation) it maybe goes down like 5% over that time. This thing could go all day if I let it and it picks up my professor as she moves around the room just fine. I always download everything from the recorder to my computer so maybe the battery and sound issues are for those who listen through the speaker? Not sure, all I know is this thing was a lifesaver and works great.

**Q: I just ordered the 64gb, it has songs on it making the storage 57gb.how do i erase these? when i hold the “delete” it has no delete option**
A: 58.2g is all the usable memory.  You will not get the full 64g due to operating system and such. You can scroll to settings and there go to storage then format the memory or factory reset.

**Q: Does it make noises when the battery is dying**
A: The battery did not make noise when it died half a day after arrival. I never got to use it over 40 minutes. The recorder stopped working.

**Q: Can you listen to the recordings  out loud without earbuds it can play and everyone  can listen?**
A: Yes

**Q: Can you plug a mic into the earphone jack to record calls on a landline phone?**
A: You will need a recorder with a mic jack microphones don’t work in an audio output jack

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm impressed; worth the price

I have very little experience with recorders. The instructions could have been more descriptive of the functionality. Like for example, each button has multiple uses and it is through trial and error that I am learning what the recorder can do. However, I am increasingly impressed as I get to know it. Also, the recorder itself: appears to have a tempered glass screen and an aluminum body; very little or no plastic. I like it.
