We use these for an office kitchen and they withstand microwaving soup, etc. (as well as allowing liquids to sit for hours in the bowls) without leaking. **Q: has anyone tried these for paints and paint mixing? will they hold watery paint for 4-5 hrs?** A: These bowls are sturdy and don't collapse when filled with cereal and milk.
