The trick is to spray often. If you can't smell it, spray again. It is a very heavily scented mint and you may notice it more if you use the car and the engine gets warmer. Spraying on the undercarriage and even on the ground around the vehicle also seems to help, so wheel wells shouldn't be a problem. It is NOT a use once and forget product. The indoor outdoor I can’t really explain but I wouldn’t use it on my car parts. And I’m not sure if the indoor outdoor is pure peppermint oil, but I know that the engine rodent protection one is pure, very strong, and it’s been working quite well. I used it but then: 1) it didn't seem to be keeping the rodents away, and 2) I didn't want to poison them if there were another way to keep them away. I tried this spray but the scent was so faint that I didn't see how it could work. I gave it a poor review because of that.But now I'm trying it again and the scent is stronger (don't know why the difference from before). I've had no rodents but don't know whether it's because of this spray or whether they just went away anyway; therefore I don't know how to rate it.
