Review: Highly recommend - I have 2 gerbils and thought I would try this sand for a change as I couldn’t get out to my local Pet Shop due to an injury. Delivery was fast next day and it was well packed. The sand is really good, soft and fine the gerbils absolutely love digging and rolling about in it. I think their coat appears cleaner too but I can’t be too sure. The contents of the bag lasted three refills. I normally put it into a bath box and leave it in their glass tank for an hour every second day. If you leave it in too long then they will use it as a toilet spot. Well mine do anyway. The sand does actually clump up really well if they pee so you can filter it out pretty easily. I didn’t get any smell from the samd so it’s not fragrant just samd. I would definitely recommend it, concerning the price if ypu are purchasing actual recommended pet sand and not Kids play sand this is pretty much the correct price give or take a few pounds. I would give this 5 out of 5. My go to sand from now on.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: After doing alot of reading, sand is a safer (not as effective) cleaner for chinchillas. please reply if you use this for your chinchilla and like it?**
A: I have gerbils and they love it.

**Q: Is this product calcium free?**
A: It is indeed calcium free and it’s very soft to the touch but not the least bit dusty and actually smells really nice to me. Has a very earthy, natural smell. So totally safe for your hammy and 100% worth it!

**Q: Can hamster pee in this sand?**
A: Yes, they can pee in this sand. It clumps together, and stays together. It doesn't spread out to all the rest of the sand like the softer kind of sand. Mine use it for a potty box as well as a sand bath

**Q: Approximately how long would one bag of this last a dwarf hamster, being cleaned regularly?**
A: So far I have used one entire bag for my three robo hamsters in one large aquarium (used in combination with a large container) for three weeks. I clean the sand regularly with a hermit crab poop shovel (it’s just what I have handy since we have hermit crabs also) and the sand is still pretty clean!

I clean the sand once a day or once every other day. It clumps urine very well, I’m very impressed to be honest.

My dwarf hamsters love their little sand box/cave and have made a portion of it their urine area, and a portion of it for their bathing needs.

I suspect that I will need to replace completely in roughly two months, totaling it for a use of three months. Keep in mind that I do have three dwarf hamsters in the habitat and clean it regularly.

For your purposes, since I’m assuming that you have one, I would imagine the use you would get out of it is much longer in duration.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best hamster bathing sand ever!

Edit 13 Feb 2022: The odour control isn't really good as I thought it was, the smell lingers after sifting through the sand. My hamster loves it. I've used the other grey sand but due to some supply issues I had to switch to the Niteangel brand and it's wayyy wayyy better. Softer, tinier particles, clumps to pee better and even clumps to poop! Best of all is that it absorbs the pee smell perfectly. One 6lb bag fills up one Niteangel circular sand bath just right. My lil guy practically lives in this sand now.
