We have hadd humming birds feed all summer long. **Q: Do squirrels bite into it** A: This is a container of red powdered sugar. To use it, it needs to be mixed with water and added to your hummingbird feeder. The remainder stays in your house. Squirrels should not be able to bite into it. **Q: How long can it hang outside before spoiling?** A: The hummingbirds love it and usually finish it within a week if you have a lot of birds. However I think 2 weeks is the best **Q: I purchased way too many happy hummer disposables to finish out the michigan season. will they stay good till next april or should i dispose of?** A: If the expiration date is good I would say yes. I keep mine in my kitchen pantry and they have good expiration dates so I will leave them there. We have them on the same porch and have tried different locations. Regardless of location, this feeder is the preferred type. We have also done tests of filling and transferring the contents and it continues to outperform. We have noted that if you wash them well, you get about 4 reuses out of each feeder. My only issue is that for they are quite expensive compared to other solutions.
