Review: Fun activity - This was a really fun project and the kit made it really easy to do. The ceramic leaf and heart it came with are so cute! The person I was doing the kit with didn’t want to break the leaf initially because it was too cute. The ceramic heart and leaf are good quality. It took us a couple attempts to break which I think was perfect because the breaks were not too hard to put together. The instructions were easy to follow and this was a great kit. The epoxy does dry really fast so it’s best to mix a little at a time and then make more as it dries up. We had to remix three or four times. The only thing I disliked in the kit was the paint brushes. These were not the right fit for this project and it fell apart as we were doing the project. It was much easier to use the other end of the paint brush to put the epoxy on.
Review: Overall is a good kit but hard to open the glue tube - The pink line pointing to the opening where I struggled to get it opened probably to get the solution out. Other than that I liked the kit comes with two dishes so I used one to examine and one was used as my assignment for a class.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this work on glass? Also, is it only enough to do the two pieces in the kit?**
A: Yes, it works well on glass, and this kintsugi kit is enough to repair many ceramics or glass items, etc. the two mini ceramics in the kit are for beginners to practice.

**Q: Is this food grade repair? Like for plates and coffee mugs?**
A: Short answer: NO, it's not food safe. Adding coloring in the form of mica, etc., changes the chemical composition of the epoxy.

Long answer: Visbella Epoxy was included in my kit; did not state on package that it is food safe. When cured properly, epoxy is an inert plastic and is generally safe for incidental food contact. Epoxy is not food safe if there is user error during process of measuring, mixing and curing. I would repurpose the mug as a pen holder.

Great practice kit. I ordered because I wanted to learn Kintsugi before tackling repair of some broken tiles on my mantle. Did this kit with a friend over a few glasses of rose. We had fun. Comes with plenty of material. The glue is really sticky, sets up fast. This is a tricky art form, takes some practice to get good. This is an appopriate activity for kids over 8 or 9 years old, and adults of any age with a steady hand.
