I clean it after each use by grinding up torn white bread into crumbles and dumping them, leaving the metal cup and plastic cap nice and fresh. **Q: Does it chop nuts?** A: Very well. I used to make peanut butter. **Q: I want to chop apples to small dice but not mush. Will this work?** A: I have used it to chop apples, nuts, dates, and figs, put on chop and pulse until desired consistency. Do not try to chop so many at once as it will mush some of them before you can get all of them chopped. I suspect it's only a matter of time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ handy small device to deal with small amounts of ingredients which need to be pulverised *by T***K on 4 October 2022* I am currently on a very low fat diet which requires me to do even more cooking from scratch than usual. Many of the recipes use lots of garlic/ginger/chillies/herbs/spices... in order to make fish/meat/poultry/vegetables, interesting & palatable instead of using the butter/oil/cream...which one used when cooking previously. Although the amounts used are not great (I cook for just two of us, day to day), this does take out a lot of the chopping/mincing/grating. I looked at what was available, and some of the cheaper options did look a bit flimsy. I read reviews which were variable. In the end I paid a bit more and purchased this. While it is not quite as robust as I might have wished, I have been pleased and satisfied. It is easy (once accustomed) to use and wash. I have the standard size appliances, but they are simply too large and cumbersome for the small amounts I am dealing with.
