They was always fresh and delicious. This cake was very hard and stale. I had planned to take the cake to a friend’s for a holiday dinner. I am happy that I opened the package or I would have been very embarrassed. I am doubly upset as the ribbon cake is expensive and cannot be returned. I have been confident in shopping with Amazon for many, but this purchase gives me food for thought. Literally and figuratively. I just read other reviews, all terrible, attesting to the bad quality and staleness.
