As it dries, it almost takes on that thickness that gel polish does? I'm not sure if that makes sense but it feels like it "puffs up" or swells in the way. Either way, I would 1000% buy this polish again. WOW. If you’ve happened on this Amazon page for this miracle nails-at-home product, you need to purchase immediately. My wet nails go from two coats to this dry coat and ROCK HARD IN 20 mins. Not “mm, my fingerprint just left a mark” dry or “I can’t take a shower” dry or “shoot, I dented my polish on the counter” dry. ROCK. HARD. DRY. It’s truly witchcraft. For reference, I am extremely clumsy and have gone from freshly painted nails to 15-20 mins later fully living my life (working out, washing dishes, playing with dogs, etc) with no issues. I have only used this on other KUR products and it lasts two weeks, easily before wearing. While I work at an office job, I am fairly unkind to my hands and nails so they get put through the wringer. An additional bonus is that it hardens your nails like a real gel coat so it’s helped tremendously with breakage and growing my nails longer and stronger. I know this is pricey as heck for a top coat. I KNOW. But if you want an at home manicure that is WORTH your time and doesn’t use harmful UV light then you need to just buy it. OMG THE BEST PART?! It comes off with normal Joe-schmo nail polish remover.
