I did not expect a piece of plastic to look like shiny gold, so I was not disappointed by the the color. Because they are made of plastic, they do not leave a metallic taste to the beverage. They are also long enough for several condiments. Hand washing them is easy and makes them reusable. If people are smart about their use, they should last.
