The ethernet works immediately with no driver install or hacking at settings; just plug and play. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Met my need *by F***K on May 7, 2022* Decent product ### ⭐ TERRIBLE! constantly loses connection *by K***A on November 26, 2017* It works with ethernet cable, but the connection is very finicky and need to be sure it's really in the USBC slot. I will get loss of connection if not really pushed up against the slot. Don't have this issue with some of my other adapters like the Apple USB-C adapter or other hubs I have purchased. But, if you're not moving it around and are careful, it does the trick. Just wish it would stay put and not have such a low tolerance for insertion.UPDATE 2/13/18... STAY AWAY FROM THIS product. Had to stop what I was doing while working JUST to update my review. This hub cuts out constantly and barely has a connection. Keep having to plug and unplug it. Maybe I got a dud, but this is basically garbage. MAY work if I taped it to my laptop, but obviously thats not happening. I have 6+ USBC to USB A adapters (2 apple and a several I got on Amazon) and 2 USBC 4-port hubs and none of those have any issues like this. Actually can't recall loosing connection on any of them.
