Inexpensive way to cover my steps so my dog doesn't slip on the stairs. The color is soft so it doesn't stand out, I just wanted it to blend into my decor. If you are looking for a rich good quality rug this is NOT it. If you do buy this, follow my recommendation on installation.1) take them out of the box and leave only for 24 hours so they it is the temperature of your home.2) Get your blow dryer and a long extension cord. (make sure steps are clean and dry)3) Put 1 in place. Put the hairdryer on high heat and press with your hand on the rug will blowing with the dryer. Squeeze the edge of rug while heating. Do each step this way. they will stay in place.I also added double sided rug tape under the tread, close to the end of the rug. My old dog now comes downstairs (there's only 4) on his own again. Regular treads worked for a year, but he got spooked and stopped braving them. These treads cover most of the stair and he now happily ventures down without assistant. We've had lots of compliments on them.
