Review: This is the best reading light ever! - I went through all the reviews for 2-4-6-8 light reading lights,and almost went for some of the highly-rated versions, but decided against their bulky clips (which is sometimes hard to see, because of the way the photos are angled). Decided to spend a little more for this little light (and I mean little -- it is so thin, I use it as my bookmark). It is so light that it does not noticeably add to the weight of a book. Haven't tried it on a magazine, but it would probably be too heavy if clipped to just a few pages. It is so light because it uses a USB-rechargeable Lithium Ion battery -- the connector is a mini-USB, which is the same as the original Kindle, Jitterbug phones, etc. and is readily available. It has two lights, which means that at the lowest setting, it does not bother light-sensitive partners,but it may not light up both pages of a book. It has a continuously variable dimmer (just hold down the ON button and watch it get brighter - dimmer - brighter, etc.), so you can increase the brightness to the point where it illuminates both pages simultaneously, or if you want to use it as a flashlight. At the lowest setting (which I use), I have to adjust the neck when reading larger hardcovers, same as my previous two-setting two-light reading lamps (that had 2 heavy AAA batteries). One idea for the manufacturer -- simply add one LED chip to the side of the light head (or make that portion clear). I always clip a light to the front cover of a book & a light that could shine to the right of the booklight would illuminate that right-hand page, without any re-positioning.

**Q: How do you turn it off?**
A: Press the same button you used to turn it on. Sometimes it gets fickle and you need to press it a couple of times.

**Q: Mine isn't as bright as I thought it would be compared to my bigger and heavier ones and I don't have it dimmed? Any suggestions?**
A: Is it definitely fully charged (green light has come on)? Mine is as bright or brighter than any others I've owned, including heavier battery-operated versions. If it's still not as bright when fully charged and on the brightest setting, you might need to return it for a replacement, as it could be a dud.

**Q: How do you dim the light?**
A: Hi - thank you for your question. The Recharge Light has what is called "continuous dimming" which means you press and hold the power button and the light will dim from 10 to 2 lumens.  Press the button once to turn it on, then press and hold the button to start dimming the light, then release your finger when the light is at your desired brightness. **Q: I bought this mid june. it's aug and it doesn't work. i charged it overnight, but it doesn't light up. i tried recharging it. same. help??**
A: Was the charge light on?  Did you depress the ON button hard enough?  Should be so easy.  Love mine.  Have gifted four people slready.  Maybe you should get a replacement.  Amazon is very responsive.  Sure beats big boxes.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal night time reading companion

I remember the old/original Mighty Bright book light, you know the one, the one that you stuffer batteries in. Well this one is a vast improvement (not that the old ones were bad its just they were of a different era), I really like that flexible neck and the quality of light, its really easy to bend the neck and direct the light to really minimize light spilling away from the page. Its light enough and compact enough that it travels very easily; it holds a charge well and I appreciate that it uses a USB-C charger. If you're like me and enjoy a physical book then this is well worth the money even if you only use it occasionally. It works!
