I should mention, though, that a few ladies changed the hair styling products they used, as well, to eliminate anything with sulfates (as these are harsh chemicals that will hinder your progress with overcoming dry hair and dandruff). We recommend that until the dandruff gets under control (for some it is within a matter of days, for others weeks, depending on severity) - that you leave the argan oil conditioner on for an extended period of time (for instance, apply it immediately after shampooing and leave on the whole time you are washing the rest of your body). My hair has always been looked “unhealthy”. I have thick frizzy untamable hair. I went through a phase where I was so tired of it never looking “healthy” that I wore it up every single day. Over two years the damage was unexplainable. I cut it right above my shoulders and hoped for the best. After a year and a half I felt like I finally had decent looking locks. Which was great but from my ears down (hair is now past my shoulder blades) it was ungodly frizzy which lead me to styling it every day. I was also shedding like I’ve never shed before. A handful of hair by the time i would get done blow drying.. I have been on the hunt for a great shampoo and conditioner. I’ve probably tried 6 different brands by now. Two months ago I was at Target and found the “Love Beauty and Planet” which I thought I liked and was excited because it was “safe”. After a couple of weeks I felt like my hair was so weighted down I hopped on amazon and saw what people said about the brand. They didn’t really like it. I found this. And oh my goodness... Seriously oh my goodness?!!! I don’t even know where to begin. First, this company is amazing. I had high hopes for this but read some people found their hair tangled.. You want to talk about tangles. I am the tangle queen. I’ve been getting heavy highlights for 6 years and I go through a bottle of leave in conditioner every two months. The “lather” was great (it doesn’t really lather) but I knew my hair was feeling clean. I combed it after i let it towel dry for 20 minutes. I immediately knew i didn’t need leave in conditioner (and honestly wanted to really see how well this stuff was). I blow dried my hair and was amazed. It was soft and bouncy and shiny but didn’t have the slightest bit residue. Crazy. My hair typically looks like straw after a blow dry. I styled it like usual and i can’t stop looking at it. Feeling it. Running my fingers through it. I’ve already told 20 people about this stuff. I already KNOW I’m not going to need to wash my hair for a couple of days and also, not feel anxious getting my hair done from the damage. I am blown away by this. I felt like the bottles were pretty small for the amount of money but you hardly need any product and I’ll NEVER spend $100 on a set ever again let alone any other products because this is all I’ll ever need. I grew up with normal wavy black hair but since the last 8 years, I have been continuously straightening my hair either with the Japanese straightening or Keratin straightening. I have never straightened my hair with the Brazilian blowout which is usually the common straightening method. Since one year, in addition to straightening, I also began coloring my hair. I went from black to strawberry blonde and now, couple of days back I became a redhead. I am one of the lucky ones so far where despite straining my hair with straightening for years and recently coloring, I have no major issues with my hair or scalp. However over the years, my hair did start falling a little bit and my scalp started itching minimally. Until now I had been using known brands as shampoos and conditioners. To give my hair a well-deserved break, I decided to try this brand because it is organic and it specifically states that it is good for straightened and colored hair. Nobody recommended this brand to me. I simply found it on Amazon when I typed "organic shampoo." Both the shampoo and conditioner came well-packaged and both smell heavenly - sort of like orange sorbet. In the first attached picture, I used this shampoo and conditioner on hair that had been straightened 3 days back and colored blonde 3 months back. I noticed with just one wash that my hair loss had stopped and my scalp did not feel itchy. In fact my scalp felt really good. My straightened hair remained straightened and there was no change to the blonde color. In my second picture, I colored my hair red for the first time and used this shampoo and conditioner 2 days later. This time there was loss of red color while showering but I was told by my hairstylist that red color does drain off regardless of the shampoo and conditioner used. So I'm confident this brand's shampoo and conditioner had nothing to do with loss of red color. Despite some hair color loss, red color still sticked well as evidenced in my second picture. For now, I will say that this product really works on straightened and blonde colored hair. It also stops hair fall and scalp itching. I will give another update perhaps few weeks later on how it maintains my red hair. Oh one more thing, these products are MADE IN THE USA. That always makes me happy. Needless to say, this shampoo and conditioner will now replace every other shampoo and conditioner in my bathroom. I will also recommend this brand to my hairstylist who is wanting to start an organic line. There is a lot of it, and it tends to be dry, fluffy, and frizzy. It also does not hold curls unless there is a lot of hairspray involved. I loved my first keratin treatment, which smoothed out my hair and gave it structure (no more fluffiness). It also brought out the color of the highlights I had gotten months earlier.This was the first set of post-Keratin products I bought. The shampoo and conditioner were good - I loved the smell and the natural ingredients, and they seemed to maintain my keratin treatment well. My only reservation was that it felt like I needed to use more shampoo to really make my hair feel clean, and both products felt heavier on my fine hair. I ended up switching to Keratin Complex when my hairdresser used it during an appointment for partial highlights (a few weeks after my keratin treatment). It feels lighter and cleaner in my hair, and I continued to use the products after the keratin wore off.I have since switched to co-washing, which has helped me maintain smoothness comparable to the keratin treatment without needing to pay for the treatment.
