I had a bit of trouble getting the bike out of the package with worrying about bending the spokes due to the tight packing. A bit of advice - cut *all the zip ties before you try to remove the bike and make sure the box is completely cut away first. The assembly is probably not too challenging if you read the directions. I should have tried that. As it was I fiddled around and finally got things right. There are some assembly videos out there that support will point you to but not specific to this bike so they help some but are not great.The bike itself is very nice and smooth. The breaks are ok - very traditional caliper breaks. The only thing I have had a bit of trouble with is getting the fender over the chain adjusted properly so it doesn't make a noise when I am climbing hills. Not a huge deal.The shifter is very smooth and the bike is very light. Overall I'm quite happy with it, though I may upgrade the brakes someday. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Assembly instructions not ideal, especially for a novice like me *by J***R on September 29, 2020* I purchased this bike because I was looking for a fairly simple bicycle to ride around with my kids and my husband. I am a female who purchased this men's bike, and I am very happy with it overall. I like the look of the bike - the gray with tan leather and silver accents, and I like that it came with a rack on the back. The seat is uncomfortable, which I expected from the pictures online.The biggest issue I had with this bike was assembly. I expected that the bike would not come fully assembled since it was being shipped to me, but I would have appreciated knowing to what extent I would be building the bike myself, as I am not a bike expert by any means. The instructions that came with my bike were not specifically meant for my model, so I had to try and discern what was important for my bike, and what I needed to ignore. Also, my bike came with two instruction manuals, so there were some instructions that applied to my bike in each book (again, neither manual was for my specific bike). I understand about saving paper to reduce environmental impact, but if I am to be expected to adjust the GEARS and SHIFTER (yikes!!!!), I need instructions meant for my exact bicycle, and I need more pictures.I did contact sixthreezero's mechanics via email, and I did receive a fairly prompt response, along with a video that was meant to instruct me further as to how to adjust the gears for smooth shifting. But this video did not show enough angles of the gears so I could see what adjusting the high and low screws and the micro adjuster (new terms I learned) actually did. The video also assumed that I had a way to suspend my bike so that it would not be touching the ground, making it easier to shift to test my adjustments. I was told later that I could flip my bike upside down, but I felt like this didn't give me the right angle to visualize the derailleur (another new term), or reach the shifter on the handle while I spun the wheel. So, I hung my bike from the garage ceiling with bungee cords.My saving grace was an excellent video from another bike mechanic company that gave a step by step instruction with illustrations of how to adjust the gears. Otherwise, I would have had to set up a video consult with sixthreezero, or take the bike to a bike shop (more likely considering my frustration level).Bottomline, assembly was a bit of a nightmare for this novice, but overall I still really like this bike. It rides and shifts smoothly and is pretty, but needs a more comfy seat. I also appreciate they included touch-up paint!
