Review: Best chicken pot pie made anywhere - Generally all the chicken pot pies in the USA stores have thick dough like pie crusts. They bake up dry and unappetizing. We first found Fray Bentos pies in the island country of Grenada (U.K. Commonwealth) and when we baked one up the pie crust was flaky like a French croissant is supposed to be. The Fray Bentos "puffs" up to make the best pie crust. AND, it is "shelf storable" which means no need to store it in a freezer or refrigerator. Just keep them in a pantry/shelf until time to cut open the "tin" top and bake.
Review: A favorite from childhood. - Maybe the best of the Fray Bentos tinned meat pies. (You remove the top and bake them in the oven.) The sauce is creamy and savory, the bits of chicken tender, the pastry flaky and flavorful. This was a childhood favorite; I still enjoy them even with the high added import cost.

Generally all the chicken pot pies in the USA stores have thick dough like pie crusts. They bake up dry and unappetizing.
