Hold Glock mags great! *by V***G on Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2019* So I bought this after I bought a similar one by Keeper. The first one would not hold new Gen5 Glock mags no matter how they were placed on the magnet. It held older Glock mags fine on the long side of the mag and held 1911 mags in any position. This just did not give me what I was looking for but I kept it because it holds my some fixed blades great on the side of my safe.After that I purchased this one and got it today. When I went to place it on my safe it really surprised me how hard it slapped itself to it. It's super strong! It holds the Gen5 mags in any position without issue and unlike the Keeper will even hold guns. I actually turned it long ways and it held my tactical 870 fully loaded with side saddle with ease by the barrel. I think the rating is true on this item. Honestly it hold guns so well I would almost say too well. I found it would hold full size pistols by placing the top part of the slide on it which cut down the amount of metal it was holding. This still held amazingly but allowed a much easier retrieve.I will be buying more of these. I thought for $50 it may be over priced but compared to the $30 Keeper I bought first it is worth it. The only negative I can give it is with the adhesive strip it comes with. When I pulled one end of the paper off it separated the sticky portion from the bar. I stopped and started at the other end and it came off fine but now I have a bit on one end that will flop. Be careful when separating the paper. Not enough of an issue to drop any stars as a dab of glue will fix it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastically strong, and very well built *by H***X on Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2017* This magnetic strip is incredible. I don't normally gush over reviews, but this product exceeded my expectations.When I first received it, I wasn't sure what the adhesive pad was needed for, but found out very quickly as the magnet pulled my product swiftly into it with a very resonating 'clank.'I like that there are multiple mounting options, but I use the magnets alone as the mounting surface is ferritic. I have purchased a second one of these, and will likely purchase many more. I have a shorter one but I end up leaving my extra clip out of reach. This one makes more sense. I wanted a second magnet for another location and this gives that little extra bit to make it completely workable. The magnets are strong and hold the gun tight. The thin rubber veneer nicely protects the gun from scratches.
