You barely smell it. BUT. Your nastiest cothes come out not smelling like nasty. Also it's great for hand washing if you find yourself doing that. Also great for cold cycles. Let's be real, no body under age 40 really sorts laundry, it all just goes in together on cold. I wear a lot of tech gear, Patagonia strider pros, polartec delta shirts, and a Volbak condition black shirt, darn tough socks, were the majority of my wardrobe this summer. All things you want to wash as cold as possible.
