**Q: What is the difference between this 1157 & the Silverstar 1157 besides the price?**
A: The Silverstar 1157 filament uses more current, burns brighter, burns out faster, needing replacement more often.  Rather than all air, there is a non-oxidizing gas in the bulb. There is a special coating on the bulb that helps achieve brighter light.  Good for older people who have reduced night vision, like me.  Guy Hammer, PE

A: The SYLVANIA 1157 and the SYLVANIA 1157 LL function the same. However, the 1157 offers 1200 life hours while the 1157 LL offers 2000 life hours.

**Q: will this work for a Mercedes 1987 300d turbo front blinker**
A: I don't think so. I think the 1157is for brake lights.
