Focusing to infinity works fine, and image sharpness is perfect. DSLR must be set to manual exposure mode, and lens must be manually stopped down for match-needle exposure. Manual focus must be used. This is the perfect accessory for fitting vintage m42 screw-mount lenses to modern digital cameras. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Its glass element degrades the image quality (read description) *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2018* The adapter fits well in my nikon FF and I’ve been using it with an helios 58mm 44-M. The adapter includes a glass element to allow infinity focus but it causes a noticeable degradation of the image, varing in intensity depending on shooting conditions (it gives a hazy look to the subject and reducing sharpness ) . Really haven’t decided if I’m gona keep it or return it.
