Got XL size for 23 Lb Beagle. Fits a little loose. I like the fact there are wide velcro strips on both sides. Easy to adjust after putting it on the dog. Little opening on top that's probably meant for leash to go through is no help. These are affordable and so far, great quality. I searched long and hard to find a winter coat for our pups that 1) would keep them warm 2) wouldn't involve crazy contortionist acts to get their legs/head through the holes 3) would work with their harnesses underneath. These fit the bill perfect. We ordered 2 mediums for our 2 Boston Terrier mixes (approx 20 & 22 lbs). They fit perfectly (maybe leaning toward snug but they ran around in them all weekend and didn't cause any chafing, etc.). These are nice warm jackets and the velcro is really strong and kept their coats on through lots of playtime.
