I was carefull of course but you should be able to remove original screen without any problem. Yes I know it sounds a bit scary but I just jumped right into it **Q: Do you have to take off the original protector or can it be put on top of it for more protection?** A: You should take off the original protector... My protector that came with the phone started bubbling up so I took the original off first.. **Q: Is it case friendly?** A: I used this on a Samsung Z Flip 3 after the original protection on the class started to come loose. It was a very easy install. I removed the original protection and followed a youtube video and the installation was just a charm. Two very small air bubble had formed in the bend but after a week they were gone. Clean the screen and then use the installation tool that comes in the package. Samsung offered me a free repair, which was impossible to take advantage of as I needed to drive 200 miles to one of their approved stores, and after some research I'm glad I found this product.Samsung will tell you not to attempt replacing the screen protector yourself, but what are you supposed to do?! My phone was in danger of getting seriously damaged as the factory fitted screen protector had completely delaminated across the fold and was filling with dust and making a horrible cracking sound on opening, so I decided to take a chance.The product is excellent and my phone looks brand new again - my only concern is I'm not sure how long the adhesion will last, I will update this review if it is crud, but at least the pack comes with a spare. At around £7 a go, even if I have to replace every three months its a small price to keep the screen from getting damaged.Tips: follow the steps, make sure you clean every speck of dust from the screen before applying the new protector, cut the squeegee to the width of the phone screen to make installation easier, and make sure you put it on straight!
