I wanted something somewhat mild yet capable of cleaning well. I have a Brooks leather riding jacket that cost me over $500. I condition it with nothing other than bees wax. It waterproofs it and doesn't deteriate the leather like oils. I got a little carried away with the bees wax and all of it didn't absorb in. When I rode my motorcycle that evening every bug that hit me ,or should I say my coat, stuck to the wax. This cleaner was unable to clean the bugs and excess wax off. My wife had me use it on a few of her items such as shoes, a purse, and a leather carrying case for work documents.
