It's hot here and the sun burns the trees. These arrive ready to hang with the metal fixture sewn into the fabric of the sail. They are treated, and a nice sturdy fabric. ### ⭐ Falling apart *by A***F on October 12, 2014* I have five of them and after only about 6 months they are totally falling a part. We had only sun here in CA and those are obviously not UV resistante - big wholes in it and a lot of rips - you can stick your finger through it now without any effort - like I said after 6 months. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Catches the Wine *by H***R on August 16, 2010* The descriptive use of the word "Sail" in "Triangle Sun Shade Sail" shading canopy should have been a tip-off. When I installed the canopy on my hillside deck to provide some shade, the afternoon breeze created such a tug and pull on the "sail" that I was worried it would pull the mounting board off the house. We took it down and put it in our emergency-supply container for use as a tarp in case of disaster.
