Don't bother! *by D***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 August 2022* I have been trying to find a small robust IP camera with IR, to view the inside of an owl box in an outbuilding. On the face of it, this camera would be perfect. Small, 5Mp, infrared capacity, easy to connect. So I ordered one.Connected to my network, and almost immediately smelt a hot plastic smell, then noticed the network port was starting to melt! Unplugged everything, sent it back.Ordered a second example,plugged it in, no melting, connected to network, working nicely. Allowed darkness to fall, and guess what? No infra-red! Disconnected, sent back.After a couple of weeks searching, I couldn't find another camera that I felt would be suitable, and represented reasonable value for money. So I foolishly ordered another one of these.This time, connected to network, static picture looked good, but then, I noticed the picture constantly jumping, rather than a smooth transition between frames. Tried altering encoding, frame rates, resolution etc. with no improvement. ANY movement causes greying out on the screen and then constant jerkiness of the image. So this one is going back as well. I have learned my lesson.
