It never provided sufficient charge to keep my Samsung Galaxy 5 charged. In addition, the slider design was too stiff to let the chain freely move from the lowest gear to the highest. It would "hang-up" and rattled terribly. I kicked it lightly with my foot to free it and it worked several times. However, on the second day of the ride, the last time I kicked it lightly, the entire mechanism moved rather than the slider and it caught a spoke. This ripped it off of the bike and busted it into three pieces. It also broke the spoke.
