This ball is not meant for throwing a hook/curve. This is a ball that's either meant for a child or a newcomer to learn the basics of bowling with, OR used as a spare shooting ball since it will stay straight and won't hook. Pro's use this ball on the PBA tour to pick up their spares. Newcomers use this ball to develop better skills. However this ball is not intended to be the primary ball out of your bag if you're a half decent bowler. It should ONLY BE USED for your SPARE SHOTS. With that said.. this is a fantastic ball by Storm and ever since I picked it up my percentage of picking up the 10 pin went up from about 40% accuracy to more like 90% or greater. That's due to the fact that if you throw your main striking ball that's meant to hook it makes it very VERY difficult to pick up the 10 pin with it. The ball will hook at the last second causing you to miss it. So if you're an avid bowler or someone who's looking to boost your overall average and have issues picking up some spares.
