I let them sit for a few weeks wgere they gathered a little bit of surface residue due to my own handling. But once i welded them on my bumper it made the whole thing come together. With all that pushing and pulling I needed something HD. I found these little jewels and just knew I had to get them. There is nothing about these clevis mounts that I don't like. Very high quality, I've got to say. And the best thing, Made in America. Fabricating these myself out of 1 inch steel would have been an all day affair. Money well spent. Couldn't be happier.Word of caution: make sure you're using a welder that's strong enough to get good penetration. The weakest point on these is going to be the weld between the mounts and the bumper.
