They are much shorter than the espro originals so if you're not super on the ball, you'll end up with the filter crumpled at the bottom of the basket and you pouring water around it. Now, if you learn the trick of pouring reeeeally slowly to keep the filter sort of suspended throughout the whole process and without collapsing, and you really can't find the espro originals anymore, you can make it work. There are two different size filters (185 and 155). They are for the two different sizes of Kalita drippers--also 185 and 155. The 185 size is larger than the 155 size. The 185 drippers brew an 8 to 16 oz. cup of coffee, the 155 drippers will only brew an 8 oz cup. Hope this answers your question. **Q: Has anyone noticed a perfume-like smell when wetting the filter? This is my first time purchasing Kalita filters so I wasn't sure if that was standard** A: Yeah it is true. I used Hario v60 for a while, and recently I begin to try Kalita 185. I purchased the filters and they smell like perfume when hot water touch them. I even can smell it from my pour-over coffee. Will return it. **Q: What are the actuall dimensions of a single filter?** A: Diameter at open end is about 4.5 inches; diameter of flat bottom is 2 inches. **Q: Do these match the size of the Stagg XF filters?** A: Those filters do not match.
