The band is breathable and rubber so you don’t have to worry about nasty cloth that you have to pull apart and wash. It’s easy to wipe off the light is extremely bright in spotlight mode.. regular AA batteries are OK but it dims overtime and makes the light in effective. Rechargeable batteries however, a lot longer provide a constant bright light and don’t begin to until the end of life.

I primarily use this headlamp for backpacking so it is important to be light weight, powerful and have long battery life. This light provided all. I also bought one of the 2000+ lumen lights with rechargable batteries from another seller but it is way too heavy for backpacking. I highly recommend this light. I use it for night work around my home and it has become my light of choice.
