They help create some wicked cool sounds. I have used them on my gongs, my tams and other hand drums. Soo fun!!! Review: Broke on the first try. - After they broke on the first use, I went to the hardware store and bought brass rods to replace the "coffee straws" they used as pathetic handles for these mallets. I glued the brass rods into the super balls and they seem to work fine now. My suggestion, go buy some superballs and brass rods and just make these yourself. ## Features - This friction mallet set includes one Birthday Party Friction Mallet, one Shimmer Ball Friction Mallet, and on Inner Child Friction Mallet. - Handmade by the Malletheads here at Gongs Unlimited, the handles of these mallets are stronger than Emil Richards Super Rub Mallets. - These flumies allow for hours of experimentation and fun for sound therapists, healers, percussionists, and composers. They help create some wicked cool sounds. I have used them on my gongs, my tams and other hand drums. Soo fun!!! ### ⭐ Broke on the first try. *by K***S on August 31, 2023* After they broke on the first use, I went to the hardware store and bought brass rods to replace the "coffee straws" they used as pathetic handles for these mallets. I glued the brass rods into the super balls and they seem to work fine now. My suggestion, go buy some superballs and brass rods and just make these yourself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by K***N on August 22, 2024* I have a large gong that I use for sound baths and wanted to add friction mallet sounds, resisting the idea of paying so much for what amount to super balls on sticks, but having tried several different superbly mallets I have for different drums, and different silicone kitchen tools, with inconsistent results, I decided to splurge on these. I'm delighted and excited with the result! See video for demonstrations :) ## Frequently Bought Together - Tribos - Pack of 3 Flumies - Compares to Emil Richards Super Rub Mallets/Create Amazing Sounds with Friction Mallets - Friction Gong Mallet Set for Large Gong Produces Whale Sounds eGong Wand Flumi Soft Low Notes Gong Resonant Mallet For Sound Healing Meditation Yoga 2 Rubber Mallet Acoustic Percussion - Friction Mallet Set with Emil Richards & eGong Wand - Includes 4 Mallets/For 24" & Larger Gongs/Soft Low Notes & Loud Resonance/For Sound Healing, Meditation, & Yoga/Whale Sounds --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/399786030-tribos-pack-of-3-flumies-compares-to-emil-richards-super](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/399786030-tribos-pack-of-3-flumies-compares-to-emil-richards-super) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
