I naturally have brown hair. You could say kind of dark brown hair and I wanted to get a natural balayage type look without spending like $300 at the salon so I found sun in and man this product works perfectly. I actually use it with heat and blow drying my hair instead of using the sun and that works just as good if not better than just laying out in the sun every time I would use it my hair would get like slowly, lighter, and lighter, which meant that I could control how light I wanted my hair to get and where I wanted the placement of my highlights by just dividing where I put the product I would I will say it kinda dried out my hair just a tad, but nothing irreversible. It was just like when I did my hair in that moment but other than that it’s a great product. I will definitely keep this forever because it’s also a great value. You really don’t have to use much to get results so you could probably have this container for years. But it’s a great product.
