**Q: Does it come with batteries?**
A: Yes, initially batteries are installed. You must remove the plastic tag. The heartbeat is very mild and easy to turn on, the the batteries don’t last very long. I suggest ordering a pack of those as well. Our puppy loves this. She sleeps with it every night. We’ve also taken it in the car to soothe her.

A: It take a hearing aid batteries and thy go dead within 2 days of use

**Q: What is the heat source it mentions?**
A: There is no heat source.  The toy is very good for cuddling and has a beating heart sound which can be a comfort for the puppy, especially when the dog is  first separated from its litter mates.  It worked well for us.

**Q: How long do you heat the heating pad**
A: I never heated mine, I just turned on the heartbeat & my puppy went right to sleep. No whining or Barking until he was ready to get up the next morning. It worked like a miracle! I no longer use the heartbeat but he sleeps with it in his play pen every night. He sleep all night long! 👏👏👏👏💕💕💕💕

### ⭐ Screw problems

Just received this replacement a couple of hours ago. Went to unscrew the cover plate screw and the screw does not unscrew. It is a phillips screw and I have the perfect sized phillips screwdriver to use to unscrew this screw... but it would not unscrew from the cover even though I struggled and struggled. The irony is the cover started to loosen up and eventually the base came off, but the screw remained intact with the cover. I placed the recharged batteries in the heart and they worked. I then managed to align the screw stuck in the cover with the hole in the base and screwed it back together. I have a funny feeling that this heartbeat replacement is not going to last very long because of the screw. Will be interesting if the base will even come off when time to change batteries. My advise based on having it for only a couple of hours and not using it yet for my dogs sleep is, ... DON'T buy this replacement.
