There is no coating on the silver one which I seen in reviews of the other colors and they work great. These are an all in one from holding the cones to fill with batter, straight to baking in the oven and no need to move to a cooling rack. They cool quickly this way. It makes an awesome display piece and helps with the need to transport. Place the entire thing inside of a container or box and they won't fall over. A few tips for those who may not know fill cones 2/3 of the way and it will come up to the top perfectly without going over our being under filled. Once cooled take a toothpick and poke a few holes on the bottom of the cone so it doesn't get soggy.
